Ministry of Stories Moonlight for Werewolves Poster.

This Halloween/ Zombie day the zombies were asked to design each a poster for Ministry of Stories, a non-profit creative writing centre in East London that helps children and young people to develop their writing. My chosen product of theirs was MOONLIGHT FOR WEREWOLVES, and here is the poster.

This November Zombie worked alongside Under the Greenwood Tree, a indepedent bookshop, toyshop and cafe at the Polygon in Clapham. We produced an exciting christmas window, themed upon the idea of a menagerie of childhood objects and played upon their proportion size to give an Alice in Wonderland feel.

For Alice and her Tooth.

Miss Lickens in celebration of tooth opp today, here is the first draft of Oscar.

Johns 'thing'

Here's a snazzy one! I was very chuffed the other day when a old pal of mine asked me to design a 'thing' for him. John left our college to become a Priest, he has recently set up a youth group which is what the banner is for.

The hammer bottle dance

During our life drawing classes, back in the day, occasionally we'd be lucky enough to have Dame Edna Everages' album play through out the days drawing ( yes who KNEW she had an album out and yes, on repeat throughout the day). So it wasn't surprising that the life drawing models ended up enjoying themselves, naked freedom alongside the repeat of "purple crocodile', oh golly.

Mags

On the discovery of an old hard drive (woops) I have been taking a trip down memory lane looking at, and re working a few old pieces.  This was a sketch for a piece based on voice and conflict.

The zombie collective were out again last weekend at St Katherines docks, selling new prints at Thames Festival. It was lovely. Free Ginger Beer and a rib sandwich that weighed nice in the belly. Yum.

MATTFEST 2011 photos

MATTFEST 2011

This year I was lucky enough to be involved in MATTFEST. Designing the look of the festival, banners and merchandise.

MATTFEST is a non-for-profit mini music festival deep in the heart of Surrey's countryside, set in a private forest-clearing beside the Dupre family cottage. Since 2005 the world has seen 3 rip-rollocking instalments, raising funds for local and national charities annually. Putting on both local homegrown talent to up-and-coming acts from around the UK, from Dubstep DJs to Folk bands, Electro-fiends to Metalheads, the festival caters for everything the discerning festival-goer seeks to find in a good grass-roots music festival.

This years line up included

VINTAGE FLY SOUNDSYSTEM DJ SET, JOHN WATTS, AARON JOLLY, SLEEPING PASSENGERS, HISTORY OF THE TRADE, RAILS LOOSE LIPS, A-MENS AND THE AMAZING GRACES, KILLINGTON FALL, ARCANE ROOTS, HENRY JONES, RBRT, DJ RERUN

Looking back at Brixton Workshops with Zombie Collective

Last August Zombie Collective held art workshops including printing, face painting and book binding in the lovely Brixton Arcade. We managed to attract quite a crowd getting everyone of all ages involved in the workshops. We also put together a Pop Up Gallery featuring our new prints. I've quickly put together a selection of photographs from the event!

ZOMBIE drawings for ECCA.

ECCA commissioned The Zombies to each produce an image around the theme of enterprise - starting out, getting funding, networking, self-promotion and motivation. The ECCA is a brilliant service to those of you who have left The University of the Arts London and are braving the business world. Check us out on their blog.

Phone Game design

Meet Nee. He is the star of our next phone game endeavour. A firefly who must make his way back home before his time runs out and night turns to day.

Come and join ZOMBIE COLLECTIVE next weekend!

Phone game : SID SHADOW

This summer I have been working alongside friends to produce a phone game. This piece was entitled SID SHADOW. The idea was that within a haunted landscape, your character Sid Shadow must get to home with out coming into view of the green badies or his elder sister, to do this he must hide in the shadows and collect points of pumpkins and bones to stay alive and before his time runs out!

Here are samples of my character and background design

Pete

A portrait of one of my favourite actors Pete Postlethwaite, I first came across him in the great british film Brassed Off,and since then his performances have never failed to make me cry.  It was sad to hear of his death 2nd January this year.

V&A Sketch

I had a lovely refreshing day out in London today. However somehow managed to send most of it sat infront of the statues just by the shop. Here is a quick sketch of one of the ladies there.

Ideas for Logo. In Progress!
